The more they like you, the more missions, stat boosts, discounts, or help you'll be likely to get from them. Along with ruins and relics, you'll be farming - both crops and animals, including the "fuzzy cow creature" Yakmel - cooking, and making friends with the townspeople. You can still head into ruins for relics and treasure, and Sandrock will have three types of dungeons: Abandoned Ruins with no enemies where you can go digging for minerals and relics, Hazardous Ruins with enemies and platforming, and Half-Explored Ruins, with a mixture of both. You'll be gathering resources as well as building and improving the workshop and town, and since Sandrock looks to be a pretty arid place, water and wood will be rare. The devs are also aiming for Sandrock to have co-op multiplayer for up to four within a separate open-world map, and perhaps multiplayer missions. Sandrock's new features include a new, more realistic AI system for NPCs and a "more elaborate story and deeper characters." There's also a new combat system, switching between melee and third-person shooting, where you'll go up against outlaws, bandits, monsters, robots, and the like. the game seems kinda empty seeming, almost like that uncanny valley feeling you feel when you look into a robots eyes. spam chicks with gifts until they eventually bite and say, ok fine Ill be with you makes for tedius doings. It's set in the post-apocalyptic world formed after humans almost destroyed civilisation in "The Age of Darkness," and, like My Time at Portia, is completely at odds with such an ominous premise: you'll be playing a wholesome, happy game about building relationships and saving the town. My Time at Sandrock has a number of similarities to My Time at Portia. ![]()
